A book I still love to read which my 8 year old daughter refuses to give away, and which I plan to read to my new arrival is “Can’t you sleep little bear?” By Martin Waddell.
It’s lovely book about Mother bear and baby bear and the difficulties he faces trying to get to sleep, which I think all children no matter how big or small can relate with. It still melts my heart when I read it and cannot wait to read again to my son.

I have been reading the Beatrix Potter books, and my daughter asleep to the story about Nation the Squirrel the other day. Cute enough to be interesting with big words that induce sleepiness; it’s a winning combination.

We’ve never found any books to help get our son to sleep (he HATES going to sleep) but we read a variety every day and night.
