Technology is an absolutely amazing thing that has revolutionized our society and our lives. A lot of these changes are positive – we can communicate more quickly and easily; we have access to endless amounts of information; we can document and share our lives with the click of a button; the list goes on and on. The problem that goes along with it? We’re always plugged in. Among other things, this could be having a negative effect on your family’s sleep. Here are some of the possible impacts along with some of the easiest ways to make sure your family uses their devices safely.
The simplest, most direct way to deal with all of this is to have no electronic devices used in the household for at least two hours before bedtime. Does that sound hard to do? We’re all so used to being plugged in, it might be just as big of a challenge for the parents as it is for the children! Try it for a week and see!
