Gone are the days of having to wander the aisles of a big-box store to create a baby registry for your soon-to-be. Today’s lucky mamas can create their perfect baby registry right from the comfort of their own homes — and include products from any store from pretty much anywhere. How liberating (and fun)!
While there are a growing number of services you can use to build your list, one of the newest, funnest, and most flexible sites is BabyList and it’s positively brilliant. BabyList lets you add items from any website (big, small, local, Etsy.com) and add “non-store” things like home-cooked meals, babysitting, doulas…anything!
Overwhelmed with options? No prob. Take a quick quiz and they’ll create a custom baby registry checklist to ensure you get everything you need and they’ll suggest products based on your quiz responses to help you jumpstart the process. You can add or delete to your heart’s content. (Careful – it can be Pinterestingly addictive!)
Need more help finding the perfect products? They also have curated lists to help inspire you! We especially liked the following:
Project Nursery BabyList – This registry is perfect for you if you like clean lines and are a minimalist at heart. A curated registry list of no-fuss gear and subtle silvery tones to ensure your home’s decor isn’t invaded by primary colors.
When you’re done creating your baby registry, you can easily email, print, or post it to social media directly from the site. You also get a unique vanity URL for easy sharing (Babyli.st/YOURNAME). How awesome is that?
And, while we haven’t heard of or seen it being used this way yet, we think it would also be a great tool for birthday and holiday wish lists for older children. No more gifts you don’t want or need!
