We design our products with quality and durability in mind, but the daily use (and, dare we say – abuse) a child can put a toy through can really take a toll! Here are some basic tips for caring for your Cloud b plush to ensure it lasts and lasts and lasts.
Basic Care Tips:
Like most any other plush, Cloud b critters shouldn’t be immersed in water for long periods of time or left out in the elements.
For the most part, Cloud b plush shouldn’t be thrown about or roughhoused with.
Don’t leave your Cloud b plush where it’ll sit in direct sunlight or be exposed to high heat for long periods of time.
For shells and hard plastic parts, gently wipe clean with a damp cloth. Simple soap and water should suffice.
For the fur, rub with a slightly damp cloth and let air dry. Finish by fluffing the fur with a brush. (Note: Don’t use on that’s used on human hair as the oils and product residues will end up on your plush.)
- Products that are entirely plush can be machine washed if necessary. Remove the soundbox (if it has one) before laundering.
Spills and Stains:
If someone accidentally spills something on your Cloud b plush, clean it up immediately. Do not rub a spill because it will become more embedded in the fur. Instead, blot with a damp rag and then blot with a dry towel. Repeat as necessary.
For stains, try blotting with liquid soap, followed by a damp rag, and then a dry towel as above. If you choose to use any types of cleaners, make sure to test it on an inconspicuous section of fur first.
Battery Compartment Cleaning:
Sometimes batteries can create corrosion or leak acid into battery compartments. In this situation, put some baking soda into a small dish and add just enough water to make a runny paste (about 2 parts baking soda to one part water). Saturate the tip of a cotton swab and rub around the battery compartment. The baking soda will neutralize the battery acid. (Note: If you get battery acid on your fingers, simply rinse it off.) Once you’ve wiped up all the battery acid, wipe out the compartment with a damp paper towel and allow to air dry.
